60th Nation Award: Irfan Khan best actor

60th National Award has been declared today and Irfan Khan won best actor national Award for his outstanding performance in film Paan Singh Tomar directed by Tigamanshu Dhulia. This film is based on real story of athlete Pan Singh Tomar who turned dacoit later. This film also won the best film award.


Akshay Kumar’s film “Oh My God” won Best Adapted Screenplay for Bhavesh Mandalia and Umesh Shukla. Rest of award is following:

Best actress: Usha Jadhav for Marathi film “Dhag”

Best director: Shivaji Lotan Patil for Marathi film “Dhag”

Indira Ghandi Best debut award: “Chittagong” by Dr. Bedabrata Pain & 101 Chodiyangal (Malayalam) by Siddhartha Siva

Best popular film: Vicky Donor

Best supporting actor: Anu Kapoor for Vicky Donor

Best supporting actress: Shared by Dolly Ahluwalia for Vicky Donor & Kalpana for 

Malayalam film Thanichalla Njan.

Special Mention Award: arneeti Chopra for Ishaqzaade

Special Jury Award: Gangs of Wasseypur-2

Best Choreographer: Pandit Birju Maharaj for Vishwaroopam

Best original Screenplay writer: Sujoy Ghosh for Kahaani

Best dialogue: Anjali Menon for Ustad Hotel

Best edition honour: Namrata Rao for Kahaani

Best lyrics: “Bolo Na” by Prasoon Joshi from Chittagong

Best male playback Singer: Shankar Mahadevan

Best female playback Singer: Aarti Anklekar Tikekar for “Palakein Naa Moondoon” from Marathi film Samhita

Special Jury Awared: Talaash, Gangs of Wasseypur, Kahaani and Dekh Indian Circus and Chitrangda (Bangali)

Best cinematography award: Ko:YAD, a film in Mising language

Best audiography award: shared by Annayum Rassoolum (Malayalam) and Gangs of Wasseypur

Best music direction: Kaliyachan (Malayalam) and Samhit (Marathi)

Best special effects: Eega (Telgu)

Nargis Dutt award for best feature film on national integration category: Thanichalla Njan.

Best film on social issue: Spririt (Malayalam) topic alcoholism

Best film on environment conservation/preservation: Black Forest (Malayalam)

Best Children film: shared by Dekh Indian Circus  & 101 Chodiyangal

Best production designer: Vishwaroopam

Best costume designer: Poornima Ramaswamy for Tamil film “Paradesi”

Best make-up artist award: Raja for Tamil film “Vazakkuenn 18/9”

Best Animation film: “Delhi Safari” directed by Nikhil Adwani
